It was also sung by Gracie Fields in 1948 and equally by Perry Como. - Fliege mit mir in die Heimat( Fly with me to our country ) - and same for -Etoile des Neiges ( Star of the Snow) is the popular French version where the romantic story takes place in the Snow covered Mountains of the Southern Alps of France .
