Bluetooth Low Energy, known as Bluetooth LE or BLE is a wireless network technology aimed at novel applications in the healthcare, fitness, security, and home entertainment industries. Compared to classic Blue-tooth technology, BLE requires much lower power consumption. Bluetooth Low Energy is a subset of Bluetooth v4.0 with a new protocol.
