An Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket successfully launched today, April 4th 2014 at 11:44 UTC. The rocket blasted the IRNSS-1B satellite into orbit. IRNSS-1B will join IRNSS-1A already in orbit in forming the first pair of satellites for the Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS).
