Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution for the PlayStation 2 developed and published by SEGA. br br An updated rerelease of Virtua Fighter 4, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution refined everything about the original and added a ton of new content. Perhaps most notably, the game adds two new characters to the roster—Goh Hinogami and Brad Burns. It also adds a new Quest mode, somewhat similar to the Weapon Master mode in Soul Calibur, as well as more than 1,500 new items and costumes. Evolution also made much-needed improvements to the game’s graphics and performance, presenting the Virtua Fighter 4 experience the way it was always meant to be. Arguably one of the very best fighters ever released on the PlayStation 2, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution is as good as fighting games get. The game offers single-player and local multiplayer play. br br This video review features video gameplay footage of Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution for the PlayStation 2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
