Filmed over a week in Maui, Hawaii with the Nikon D800 and edited in Panolapse. Maui is dominated by the towering Haleakala crater, literally meaning "House of the Sun" in Hawaiian. Encompassing the Northeast shore of the island is the "Road to Hana," a curving road through lush jungles and volcanic beaches. A stunning trail here (Pipiwai Trail) winds through a massive bamboo forest leading into the Waimoku Falls waterfall. I also visit the black-rock volcanic beach of Ahihi Kinau - spectacular at sunset. Other sites include Red Sand Beach, Waianapanapa, Wailea, Kihei, and Kaanapali beach.
