Lawson Light Plane Crash (Blue Mountains NSW, Australia) - CAPS Cirrus Airframe Parachute System br br Plane came down at 14:08, 10th May 2014 br br Loud bang, then the plane's parachute (I didn't even know those existed) was deployed... the pilot attempted to restart the engine but failed. br br Seems it was Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). br br No-one badly injured. Landed 'safely' (i.e. crashed slowly!) in the front garden of a house about 100 yards down from my house.
