Syria is among the few countries in the middle-east with anti-Israeli policy. A few years ago, the West, especially the US began exerting pressure on Syria. The US planned, as the experts in the documentary say, to throw Syria into civil war in order to have control over it. With the help of Arab States, especially Qatar, they encourage terrorists groups to go Syria. The US hoped to have control over Syria by overthrowing Al-Asad as it managed to do the same in Lybia. But so far, the plan has not been successful. That said, Syria has become an issue in the international arena where new global powers like China and Russia can confront the US. This way, they want to say that the US is no longer the world’s superpower.
