Shown on EduMation at a rel="nofollow" href=" br br The friction between two surfaces produces static charges. Rubbing glass, plastic or metal with wool, silk or rubber produces static electricity. In this demo, a teacher rubs his white-board duster on his office floor carpet. Then, static charges accumulate on the duster and these charges are detected by an electroscope.
