I had a chance br but I didn't take it, br instead I just walked away. br Just like before, br fear stood in my path; br holding me back br from what I hold so dear. br It chained me down br and put her, br just out of my reach. br The harder I tried, br the more it hurt to watch, br as she faded br into the distance. br Oh how muscle ripped from bone, br as I tried to reach her. br My mind told me yes, br but my body kept saying no. br As I sat there, br I struggled, br Just to move towards; br but it was too late, br she was gone, br and out the door. br As I sit in anger br at that sad night, br the only thing that troubles me now is, br will there be a next time. br If there's not, br then regret is what I will feel, br sitting in my room, br thinking of how it could have been. br I hope, br that somehow, br another chance will come. br Because maybe next time, br I will be brave enough.
