Heaven poured night over my part of the earth, br The air grew cold and clouds appeared. br br At a pleasant pace the wind began to fly, br And a billion rain drops fell from the sky. br br For reasons my heart did not know, br And reasons my heart did not reveal. br My logic was overpowered by my feel, br My mind could not control, br My legs as they set out for a stroll. br br The wind whispered something br As it passed my head, br The raindrops played on my skin for a while. br My brain did not understand what it said, br But unknowingly i began to smile. br br The lightning seemed like a crack to me, br Which showed a light heavenly, br And the thunder seemed to be br A part of an angel's symphony. br br The light and the sound loud, br Were glimpses of the heavens, br On top of the clouds. br br I finished my stroll and walked back home, br And stood on my threshold all alone. br br I looked up and asked why, br I took the walk for a rhyme but no reason br The sky, br Grew calm and seemed to reply, br Just to know that you're alive. br br And that day I realized, br That God drops those millions of br raindrops of love br So that I would smile and look above....
