Mariya Shostak - Dancing with the fairies

Walking through the fields br I saw a fairy dancing. br The fairy was so pretty br Dancing in the moonlight. br br Translucent were the wings br Majestic was her dress. br Her hair, the wind did ruffle br A melody, her lips released. br br Then the fairy took notice br Of my ever present eyes. br And so she called to me br To come and dance with her. br br She starts to dance once more br Leaping through the air. br I followed her and twirled br And tried to dance like her. br br Then a million fairies br Suddenly did appear. br A million tiny voices br Singing a tiny harmony. br br Such a magnificent sight it was br Such a lovely dance. br Their tiny bodies flitting br And dancing in the moonlight. br br I jumped and leaped and twirled br Dancing with the fairies. br I danced there in the starlight br With a million pretty fairies. br br Time flew by and all too soon br The sun awoke and peaked at us. br The fairies stopped their dancing br And flew away for home. br br But one fairy stayed behind br She did not go to bed. br She looked at me with sparkling eyes br The wonderful dancing fairy. br br br I saw her eyes did twinkle br And her hair in the wind did wave. br And then she dipped a curtsy br And on her way she flew. br That little dancing fairy.
