These my now humbled good feet br Carried this glorious mobile temple br Soaring high up sky with greased ease br Time without number to angels' temples br I transcended seas great rivers cleanly br Melting strangers' hearts making friends br From city to city shore with sweet finesse br Still within me this torture will not abate br br Some will recall yes remember those days of yore br Dined I top of world with kings' queens more lords br Broke many a sweet lady's heart went into folklore br Blew earth's ransom riches most could not dream of br Fell into God's lap serenaded by piped tunes golden br Angels drooled triple sighed here spectacle twicefold br Kissed did I silver summer's leaves before they were born br Still within me this torture will not abate br br Who about good light taught the stars a thing or two br Who ruled right firm sat in judgement of man and beast br Dealth death with swift abandon mocked good scripture too br Feasted on cold sweaty dreams of peasants' blind children br Forced crumbs out of babies' mouths used cannons for stools br Decimated all left nationhood worshipping the heathens' rules br Who commandeered thunder to invade even the hearts of fools br Still within me this torture will not abate br br I drank young angels'hopes all hearts innocent I tore br Some swore I must have been Lucifer's one long lost clone br Such power I spelt torture anew made fear dance fast along br Could King Solomon same whose spleandor writ large in new gold br Would nary hold candle as distant winds played harp melodious br Seas leapt with unbridled joy mountains chorussing in accord br Now cheapest of ointments blistered feet mine will never know br Deepest within me this torture will never abatebr br christopher veremubr br
