Alexander Coppedge - R.I.P.

Alexander Coppedge - R.I.P.

They gathered arms to obtain glory br Mounted iron chariots to battle a foe br Tossed from its nest rocks at them br Into night solid pit of unknowns br Flew flags on poles above them br Waving colored symbols in the breeze br As the people in the front wept and died br You are home a stranger to their needs br Each strike and drum rolls a cry br A loud boom and blast of light br Each soldier clash of metal a fight br Someone doom to claim others delights br Hailing surviving friends with glad sight br The victor who greet his home good night br Not having lived the terror or fright br Never saw the cruel acts not right br Sadly war isn’t this answer br To win the outcome of this joust br Or its end a conclusive good for all br A man final air gasps for life br That figure once held family to hope br Free from owed security but a loss br Delivered from responsibility br R.I.P.
