Richard Allen Beevor - Yellow Train

Richard Allen Beevor - Yellow Train

Through a world prism shine br of a moment glass divine, br looking out from the train br sweeping on past driving rain, br to move in motion, br swim in lotion, br past fields in flower, br spiral tower, br on the ever nostalgic train br noise arise to deaden the brain. br br Yellow train dash on sight br through wild tempest and the night, br one of the company died in vain br yet none could speak to tell his name, br yellow train wheels on rails br of an old worn track rusty trails, br days in simple seconds fly br like to the sound of a babies cry, br and still in truth not shown br we strive to live alone, br people of fate not found br press forward to the unknown bound. br br To scan clouded skies br for signs of life, br running the world always br by law of knife, br hoping each day br will bring forgetful peace, br but never trying br to make war cease. br br Yellow train runs on might br into winds of unknown plight, br the long pursuit of a road br that leads to glory with a load, br mirror reversal shows a lie br world of no avail to wishful cry, br yellow train glides on its way br seeks the whim for a brand new day.
