C.J. Heck - The Climbing Adventure (Preschool)

Climbing-climbing up the rock br through the woods, my hands are locked br on the rope so prickly-prickly br past the pine tree, tickly-tickly. br br Climbing-climbing, higher-higher, br muscles feel like they’re on fire! br Through the dry leaves, rustle-rustle, br feel the wind push, hustle-hustle. br br A long long way to the tippity top. br Hold on tight or flippity flop! br One foot here, then one foot there, br (wish steps in rocks were everywhere) . br br Huffing-puffing but not quite there. br Look out! There’s a grizzly bear! br Shhh-shhh use tippy-toes. br He’s turning now. See, there he goes! br br Uh oh, snakes beside me, sliding-gliding! br Nowhere to go for hiding-hiding! br Danger-danger! I can see br the snakes are slithering after me, br br but no, they’re going in the ground br through those holes going down-down br Oh no, growling-growling from behind! br If I turn, what will I find? br br A grumpy-grumpy scary thing? br I wish I brought a bell to ring! br It’s getting dark and hard to see br the something else that’s chasing me! br br Oh my gosh … I’m at the top. br I guess for now, I‘ll have to stop. br That was fun, I love pretending … br but I wish the stairs were never ending!br br C.J.
