It seems that I spend too much time running from my life br Avoiding every rocky road or path that might have strife br Constantly at odds with the man I was supposed to be br When I look upon that supposed man I turn around and flee br br The courage of the bravest knight is what I wish I had br But at that first smell of adversity I reveal myself a cad br My reflection in the mirror is so not the man I want br A Ghost of wasted potential is quite a terrifying haunt br br Let me turn back on my heels upon the darkened road br March ever forward now before my courage does erode br The Road of Life to travel on, can be a terrifying thing br Put better to walk upon it than see your life drifting br br One foot in front of another leads me down the path br Shedding all my old failures that filled me so with wrath br So now it seems I spend my time walking toward my life br Trying my best to conquer this road in spite of all its strife.
