Peter Hall - Don't feed the birds

Peter Hall - Don't feed the birds

At my local park there's a sign br As plain as the nose on your face br 'please don't feed the birds br At this lake or within this space'. br br I was a little disappointed  br When a lady was feeding them bread br a swan and her six little babies br As she ignored what the sign had said. br br How will they find food br When the friendly supply ends? br What happens to the ducklings br When she stops feeding them? br br For living is a skill that we br Never seem to stop learning br Whether it's relationships br Or how we make our earning. br br For if everything in life br Always went our way br And people did it all for us br We wouldn't adapt to change. br br We never would discover  br How to find our own feed br And store enough for others br And keep just enough for me.
