Now here’s a thought for poets fraught br and trying to make a living, br from penning verse of many kinds br and lending us their worthy minds, br in realms diverse and many. br br Some will keep to what’s held deep, br and only seek to reach our heart, br with kind, insightful, mystic art, br to sooth the soul and light the dark. br Or raise us up when life is blue, br or when were sick and off our food. br br But if they would be well fed br they might resort to current news, br or stories with a twist of fate, br to mischief verse, or some debate, br on HIV or “the sovereign state”.
