David Taylor - Sepia And Starlight

David Taylor - Sepia And Starlight

Sitting alone with memories br Next to the phone, a book of numbers br Along the passage echoes of br Echoes of many feet running br The dining room still has roast aroma br Charred meat when time went over br A symphony of photographs adored br Adorn the mantelpiece forlorn br Without a lively fire beneath br The coldness not one for heat to treat br Warmth faded from sights eyes br In the light of old age, time gone by br No need to wait for long or sigh br Seeing in mind a mind to mind br We will not fade like sunlit drapes br More like a shooting stars that travel far br With a light that flashes in the heavens br That raises souls up high with br Lovers' dreams and wishes br As we fly across the sky br Leaving traces in mind's eye br We'll have no sadness when we die br And as for me, no reminiscing br Did you leave, just what is missing? br I just look up into the sky br There I'll soon find you rushing by.
