A fixed meter, fixed rhyme sequence br Are important in Sonnet writing- Yes; br Thus, structured poetry is rigid- hence, br How far the thoughts get penned down is a guess! br br The chosen form must suit the writer’s needs; br The structure too reflects the poet’s tone; br Both rosaries and necklaces have beads! br A sonnet must not be a sculptured stone! br br Yes, content is more important than form; br The words must flow in harmony aright; br A Sonnet’s structure ought to do no harm br To what the poet intended to write.
