They bought a big red motorbike, br Italian and quite dear br And had it fitted at the shop br With colour-matching gear. br br They then bought matching helmets br And two one-piece leather suits. br Everything was bought to match, br Including gloves and boots. br br They kept it in a lock-up shed br And cleaned it once a week. br But sometimes stood it on the path br To let folk have a peek. br br The first time that they took it out br Turned out to be their last. br Not only was it beautiful br But it was very fast. br br The paramedics stood and stared br And sadness filled each heart.
