Herbert Nehrlich - Weller's Logs

Herbert Nehrlich - Weller's Logs

They carried br all the logs, br just one by one, br down to the village, br off the top of br Weller's Mountain. br br There was an accident, br when one, with clumsy feet br slipped in the mud br and, instantly, the log, br now free and full of glee, br rolled down to join the others. br br It stunned them all, and br with the wisdom of the ages br they heaved them once again br onto sore shoulders, br to carry all up to the top. br br With loud applause and laughter, br raucous, echoing in victory, br all logs, but one by one br were nudged to start their journey br down to the valley, independently, br it was a man-made thought br which stood the test of ages.
