Herbert Nehrlich - Learnings

And who will remember br the day in September, br when the terrorists struck br and New York went amuck? br br Will the people forget, br with naiveté bet br that the world is now safe br for the meek and the brave? br br I remember the places br and the hate-laden faces, br those who took a last breath br and then jumped to their death. br br But the world will not learn, br as its heartfelt concern br is replaced like worn dentures br with exciting adventures. br br We are busy destroying br (which to me is annoying) , br what has served us so well. br And we're looking to Hell br br for the answer to cancer, br like a talentless dancer br who comes, hat in his hand br to deceive and demand. br br We create new diseases, br a scenario that pleases br all the powers to be. br But not you and not me. br br We establish committees br in the towns and the cities, br in an effort to make br a most wonderful cake. br br We, the doc's are enticing br to finance the sweet icing br for the privileged few br I am sorry, not you) . br br And the way all this works br is when arrogant jerks br make dependent the masses br while they sit on their asses br br and invent all new tricks br while the worker Joe licks br all his flesh wounds at once. br He's abandoned his guns br br for the good of the nation. br As his own operation br is performed in a clinic br by a greedy old cynic. br br So, we point our fingers br to the terrorist threat, br while the acrid smoke lingers br and the newspapers fret. br br Thus, we see the smoke's traces br far away, in the distance. br And we turn our black faces br toward thoughts of existence. br br Our little red engines br race to save a strange home. br Fight the fire with vengeance br on the outskirts of Rome.
