Last night I dreamed of monkeys br so dark and hairy br my own hair nearly stood on ends br last night i dreamed of monkeys br matured monkeys so many of them br crowding, sitting, lying all over my room br for one second, i thought they might tear me into pieces br last night i dreamed of monkeys br the hair so oily, thick and black br i could count them one by one br the monkeys crowding my room br as if they would jump on me br giving me the fright of my life br i closed my eyes confident that br the divinity in me would deliver me br out of this danger br i prayed some heartfelt verses br and true enough as i opened my eyes again br the monkeys were nowhere to be seen br the room in the order as if they had turned tail br not even one of them there br last night i dreamt of monkeys br those monkeys that i now long to see br monkeys with dark, oily, black hair br thick as the palm thistles on my bedroom broom br or could they be agents of hanuman br the hindu monkey god i have been so attracted to br listening to a fine voice artiste singing her praise br day and night to the god famed for his high IQ br tricks and all br i keep looking at the hanuman record cover br br inspired by br br Last Night I Dreamed of Chickens br Last night I dreamed of chickens, br there were chickens everywhere, br they were standing on my stomach, br they were nesting in my hair, br they were pecking at my pillow, br they were hopping on my head, br they were ruffling up their feathers br as they raced about my bed. br They were on the chairs and tables, br they were on the chandeliers, br they were roosting in the corners, br they were clucking in my ears, br there were chickens, chickens, chickens br for as far as I could see... br when I woke today, I noticed br there were eggs on top of me.
