I whisper dawn prayers br To gaze upon your face br In the summer moonlight, br I weep with the birds br Dreaming of your eyes, br I Find treasure in your voice br And God in your heart br But lack of comfort br In the world br When the days are ceaseless br Absent your presence. br br We all exist br On a fragile timetable br With the hour unknown br When we return to the universe br Where we began br In a spiritual realm. br br I hope for a long night br Of reciting you poems br And singing songs; br br Maybe that will happen, br But I fear I’ll never see you again.
