These hands have toiled in the fields
Borne so much more than the creases reveal.
These eyes have seen the dark and light
Though now they’re losing sight.
These legs have walked for miles on end
Now they tremble at every other bend.

These hands have helped many a soul
But no one offers help now
When I need it the most!
These eyes beg for compassion
And legs plead to be rested
But to no avail-I’m being tested!

These hands, eyes and legs of an ageing soul
Don’t wait to be taken care of anymore,
In humanity they’ve lost hope.
Perhaps, they’re waiting for
GOD
To open up the heaven’s door!
