Ballerina With Fins - May Time

Ballerina With Fins - May Time

Do you notice, how it has just br stopped raining, and the air is colder, br smothering us in fresh sharpness, br the exquisite slapping of our shoes br against the wet ground, the light br dripping of cool rain, fish-like, br from the silvery tree tops, br the faint calmness? br br Do you notice, how the leaves fall br from the trees, abstracted, br almost lackadaisical, awating br the firm ground to steady their br beauiful leaf lives, br awaiting that defining moment between take-off br and touch-down, between br emancipation and recapture? br br Do you notice, how we are lost, br but not really, our souls searching for each other, br the taxis' cries haunting, Us in complete oblivion, br of the stopping rain, br the red umbrella lying forgotten on the sidewalk, br beneath cold excited fingers and br the wails of panicked ambulances? br br Or were you wrapped up in your own world, br where there is not You, nor I, but only br the neon-lights in the television-dulled br dark, where Sheep are plenty, a world in br which there could never be, br You, nor, Me, br nor Us.
