Sylvia Chidi - Sister, my sister (Sonnet)

Sylvia Chidi - Sister, my sister (Sonnet)

Sister, my sister br I wish you were I said too carelessly br As I gazed into her face tanned so flawlessly br Now that’s a tongue twister said the minister br A sister can give you a life full of painful blisters br And so I looked at her thoughtlessly br My spirit was high with hope restlessly br And I replied, “But sister my sister so can a geezer” br br She held my hand and laughed and cried br A friend can be stronger than blood br And what we have is a far greater treasure br But when I stared at her I knew she lied br A sister is a treasure no one can measure br But no one can love you more than God br br Copyright 2013 Sylvia Chidibr br Sylvia Chidibr br
