He gets ready for work, br Her gift to him a perfectly ironed shirt, br At the door she gives him a peck on the cheek, br The first and the last of the coming week. br br Returning home after a long day, br Sat on the sofa there she does lay, br Not listening to a word he says, br Until he shouts look ' I am gay' br br 'Ok darling' she says to him, br 'I get what you are saying, br Go get me a large double Gin, br And tonight under the covers we start playing'. br br 'Just wait till Doctor Brown gets shot, br Otherwise I won't understand next weeks plot', br Dismayed he goes to the kitchen and eats in silence, br thinking of his wife and then thinking of violence. br br 'Marriage' he ponders is great, br That is until about week eight, br Then certain things begin to grate, br And Their voice's begin to irritate, br At least me wife irons me shirts, br And never thankgod stays up late.
