David Lacey - Action Reaction Consequence Guilt

The dryer turns a tumbleweed churn br As we ponder the realm br Of midnight oils bubbling, blurring br In the cascade of rainbows glamour fading. br Here we are left br Wondering what it is we have learnt from the experience. br Have we learnt to appreciate the moment in the present’s presence. br Are we to be left upon the shelf with no defenses, helpless? br Or are we forever to drift inside the river or our knowing. br br My form aches from exposure to the eye, the void of the sun unfolding. br Can you see the stars in her eyes, Can you see you the story untold br Beyond the page, beyond the end of demonic manifestations raging Forth bold from the ether, scattering tribes, bribing in temptation br Selling enslavement in the guise of redemption br Empty threats for empty minds br You have your fun I'll have mine. br br Action Reaction Consequence Guilt br Each a wall I've built up a round my soul br Each a wall that makes me whole. br br I remember the girl of checkered fabrics br Waving goodbye sweet dreams forever to skies br Of blue, Sinking blissful in slumber br Into a blanket of morning dew. br br Here I am left wishing wasted, br Here I am running to be chased.
