I COME BACK TO MYSELF SLOWLY br br br I come back to myself slowly br I have been away for a time br To another part of my self br I do not want to be at all- br It is the part of Despair and Fear and Loss of Hope br And guilt over my own unworthiness- br I have come back to myself a bit br I am sort of alright br There is not around me all this weight and cloud and all this heavy dragging me down- br I am calmer now. br br I say I am coming back to my better self br I hope so br I do feel better- br But I know Life and the Other Self wait for me and will find me again- br Up and down, over and out, all around br The human being is a succession of his own continually conflicting selves.
