K. Jared Hosein - (Acrid) Snow Queen

K. Jared Hosein - (Acrid) Snow Queen

The dreams come again, br What icy sleep to be reborn, again, br Of everything that is gone, again, br The lunatics that screech the dawn, again, br The heaven beams amassed over the morn, again, br Do I dare to look into your cold eyes... again? br br I once loved you br But your breath has been tainted br And my pain has been painted. br You were the plumes of a Phoenix rising, br You were the veins in my neck, br Now you strangle me. br My sad nocturne, true, br Like dreamers do. br br I embrace the rain br As the oceans wash with a sweet release, again, br As the darkness comes between, again, br As the moon dust congests every crease, again, br So I can forget about you, snow queen, again. br Do I dare to set you free though br You make me love you so... again? br br You left my mouth like a blossoming sore, br You destroyed me with madness, br Like a lost child, br Stark and naked br In the rust of night, br This ethereal dynamo of such starry fright, br Then I see your eyes, not even a rue. br Well, I am that child, closing his glowering eyes, br Like dreamers do. br br So who is this creature, br Who owns this insatiable love for the cold, br With only a past so shallow, br There is nothing to unfold. br The mouth that only spews mindless love rhetoric, br With a portrait of a personality prosthetic, br Just another dismal Yeti riddle to construe, br Like dreamers do.br br K.
