archie langford - the road to the iles

From the bonny banks of Loch Lomond br I took the road to the Isles br The day was bright my heart was light br And my face was full of smiles. br br I crossed the bridge at Clachan. br To the isle of Siel br At the Tigh an Truish I took in the views, br A pint of wallop and a meal br br I did some sketching at Ellenabeich br The scene took my breath away. br And I know that I will certainly try br To return to Argyle one day. br br I motored on to Oban br Where I would suggest br The view of the distillery br Out shone all the rest. br br Only kidding. Argyle was a painters paradise.
