He lay there in the shadows br Of a dark and troubled mind br In thoughts of distant troubles br There many he could find br In not so distant future br By the grand old scheme of time br More recent troubles surfaced br Could these be more sublime? br br His mind so full of trouble br Inspiring thoughts were lost br To cause so much a misery br And at so much a cost br To move from out of shadow br Into the light he must br Or sink so low in darkness br Thats all thats left is dust br br How can he climb from such a depth br That he himself had made br But to look to Him from whom br The price already paid br In shadows all alone br Thoughts like these he cannot fight br Lest he takes Him by the hand br And He leads him to His light br br Nov 2007br br Don Pengillybr br
