Tim Larsen - Drive

Tim Larsen - Drive

Can we be typical teenage lovers br Living beneath sheets and in backseats br Of those ’97 Volvo’s? br br Leather sticking to our br Skin as we sweat to make br Our beings feel again br br The only place where we can release br Our immaturity and self-subscribed br Inability to think br br But we do know how to feel. br br We know the feeling of losing sight br of where we’re going when fog covers br the windshield and the damn defroster won’t work. br br We know the feeling of fastening a seatbelt br to our help(sort of) less bodies to buckle a br shelter piece into our reluctant hands. br br We know the slow cry of the highway br as we speed down I-84, waiting br for some anomalous stunt to suck us from the road. br br And we know the feeling of hot leather on our skin br as we drive there and back again.
