Peter S. Quinn - Come and Listen

Songbirds are coming to new summer's day br One by one in their feathering born flight br Through darkness of winter to blossoms height br Oh see how they come and hear how they play br To brighten up mornings - those once were gray br The hours are shifting from dim to fresh light br Make of past memories wintriness night br That once with cold earth of icily lay br br Come and listen to tunes they're singing br Love songs - for one and all - that needs to be heard br From the trees of the forest of unmarked spring br Each one - their heart therein - the birds are bringing br Of love to acquire with new hope undeterred br When they together in close up once more sing br br br *Pablo Neruda once said, 'There is no advice to give young poets.'br br Peter S.
