A poem of self contemplation. br br br -------------------- br br br br Never Again To Be Alone br by Barbara Lynn Terry br br br I was sitting there crying, br When the officer asked if I was all right, br There was no use in lying, br I had been there all night. br br I told him it had been a sad day, br And that this was just my way, br Of sorting through my mind. br His voice was soft, gentle and kind, br As he asked me if I was thinking... br I said oh no not even blinking. br He smiled and said all right have a good night, br To which I was grateful even in my fright. br br I drove back down the mountain, br My composure regained, br And smiled as I entered my home, br Never again to be alone.
