Patti Masterman - It's White Noise Takes You

it's white noise takes you br slowly through the ceiling br rising like steam, up a newly opened register br rising, rising to a steady hiss; subtle, subtle br it feels like this.. br br like gauze curtains on static panes br like Georgette bedspreads and chiffon trains br stiff brides like fondant on tri-layered cakes br like cake makeup, and long white gloves, br rushing white light before the films run out.. br br spiraling careless around the spools, br when nobody’s taken the cartridge off, br while electric eels jump in meaningless graffiti br writhing random dirges, from muted lips br blue-white rushing once-blizzards of words.. br br if the dead could hear, they'd report white noise br pressing on their eyelids and vocal cords br buzz-sawing ears with piano-cut wire br but only hissing in deaf, toneless key- br completely gone when white noise takes me.. br br carnival fugues go roaring on by br never pausing to explain or why br white noise calls, like phantom waterfalls br like changing channels, in dead of night- br You can see it sparking hidden flashes of light- br br and that’s the white noise; br the first moments of time- br spreading from black holes, into the white..
