Hamilton Macrae - The Ghosts of Inch Parks Croft

Hamilton Macrae - The Ghosts of Inch Parks Croft

Two old ladies sat in their house br down a winding country lane br They made some tea then fell asleep br and never woke again br br Now their ghosts are waiting br to befriend you in the night br They don't want to hurt or scare you br or make you shake with fright br br They're lonely there by the fire br sitting quietly with their tea br They'd love to reach and touch you br if only they could see br br But there they sit and stir their brew br as every night goes by br They'll sit and stir and stare br and never reason why br br So if you come to see them br you don't have to be afraid br come, sit down beside them br and taste the tea they've made br br And when you leave their haunted place br and lie at night in bed br You'll see those ghostly ladies br and think on what I've said br br So when you make your tea at night br and stir your cup of brew br Think of the ghosts by the fireside br and they will think of you.
