David Harris - Society

Talking to someone today, br we reminisced of years gone by. br We reflected on things br when we were young and didn’t have, br and how much fun we had. br We didn’t have TVs, CDs or DVDs, br computers or anything like that. br We had to twiddle a cat’s whisker to hear br the radio we might have built. br What we did have was an imagination, br creating games we could play. br We didn’t destroy everything in our wake, br but looked after everything we got. br Today our society it doesn’t matter, br things are so easily replace, br if you break something today br you can always replace it tomorrow, br and the wastage that goes around, br because nothing means much anymore. br Years ago, we used to treasure br everything that we got. br Today it means nothing, br as they have everything and want for naught. br Everything has lost its value. br Now just look around and make a list, br of what material thing in your life br that can never be replaced. br Then do another list of everything br that can be replaced. br The first list will contain next to nothing, br and the second will go on and on. br This should show you a picture of our society today.
