A descendant from a traveller to an antique land br br That Shelley wrote of with poetic hand br br Returned to see Ozymandias. br br 'I saw, ' said he, ' No trunkless legs of stone; br br 'And of that shattered visage nothing remains br br 'Of that frown, and wrinkled lip of cold disdain. br br 'But perhaps, I heard a moan, from underground perceived a groan br br 'From hell. 'I am Ozymanias, ' the pedestal still read, and that was all.'' br br Around the pedestal was nothing but desert sand: br br No sign of awe or despair was sustained in the land br br And no one the king or kingdom could recall.br br Walter E.
