Those with the gift of compassion are those the Gods did bless br They always have great empathy for those who know of stress br They never seek advantage as some do for self gain br They understand the sorrow that comes from mental pain br For the welfare of others they genuinely do care br Yet those who have true compassion as a breed of people rare br People who are well worth knowing they go out of their way br To help out other people and do good deeds every day br Those who know of compassion to the higher self are true br And those with the gift of compassion only good karma are due br Though such people in politics are not known to succeed br Of leaders of the Nation of their type we are in need br The great gift of compassion is a marvellous gift indeed br But those who are blessed with it are those not born to lead.
