As we gather in celebration br Of our men and women in uniform br Pride fills our hearts and souls br As they are honored one by one br br Most of us can’t imagine br Just what hardships they’ve been through br Fighting for their country br For me and yes, for you br br We bring them all together br If not in body then in mind br They are treasured true Americans br They are really one of a kind br br With balloons and banners we show them br How much they mean to us br And some of them probably wonder br Why we make such a fuss br br Whatever we can do to show br How much we really care br Let us do it in our own special way br Our love for them them we share!br br Marilyn Lottbr br
