RIC S. BASTASA - i like it here

this is my place, insignificant, small, br fleeting even, like a soft breath coming out of my mouth when br i utter the word br you and br i, but you are still confused unable to understand each letter br like chopped string beans so disconnected br from each piece br i understand myself now as intimately as my nose br to my lips to smell and sound touching each other br this moment, br i still say convinced as i am like how the window pane br agrees to entertain a morning chill and then br the light coming, br i still say, i like it here, the view from here, br green mountains hairy with forest trees br rivers running like children in the parks br clouds drifting like butterflies all in the hues of pastel blue br and some scratches of white and gray, br i like the sea here br friendly salt to my tears, i like the gardens here, br so alive with flowers and bees and blades of grass, br i like it here br and i have no plans ever to leave even with you telling me that you love br me till the end of days and nights, br you are lying and there is no sense dying br in the beds of your dreams so far away like br a mythical kingdom.br br RIC S.
