Francis Duggan - As The Dark Clouds Of Rain

Francis Duggan - As The Dark Clouds Of Rain

As the dark clouds of rain are gathering in the sky br The birds sing and whistle in the parkland nearby br From listening to Nature's creatures knowledge of weather we do gain br The birds always whistle and sing before rain br The sun in the heavy clouds hidden away br It was only seen out for a brief while today br Two days ago it was thirty five degrees br Today it is twenty and rain in the breeze br The magpie is piping on a wattle tree br And the magpie lark can be heard calling pee wee br And the golden billed blackbird has rain in his song br As forecasters of weather the birds never do get it wrong br The rain will be welcome since El Nino of moisture has sucked the ground dry br And the moorhen in the pond utters forth her shrill cry.
