My children br Came and br Asked me br br Mummy, br How many br Poems br Did you br Write br Today? br br I smiled, br And said br br Was so br Engrossed br In Life's br Poetry, br I couldn't br Write any br Poems br Today br br br br [This Poesy is inspired by the Observation that often my children after coming from School take stock of what I've written for the day, asking me what I wrote, how many poems I wrote, where I published them (Boloji PH Anjuman) and many other queries about my poems.....which really zaps me that at such a young age, they take so much interest in my poetry. They know that not all poems are for them; they are allowed to read them only when they are Adults, but the ones I feel they can read, I always share with them....sometimes they struggle with the vocabulary and subtle meanings, but then Dictionary, Thesaurus and real life e.g.
