Empath In flames - [As I Turn To Stone]

Empath In flames - [As I Turn To Stone]

As my hand gently embraces the clay, br I am reminded of a mortal calamity. br I drink to suppress the pain… br So many years spent, br Perfecting this image of you. br So lifelike it feels, br I am drawn closer….... br br I brush your face, br My fingers slide across your eyes br As I remember waking up to those starry skies. br Down to your concrete lips. br The night we first kissed, br You smiled at me, br you promised you’d never leave. br I touch your frozen breasts, br As I continue to wrap myself around you waist. br Remembered for your fallen grace. br My tears disperse on your shoulder. br As though you rejected my sadness. br br I fall crying asleep, br From thinking of you… br I awoke to see your face again. br My back throbbed, As I look in the mirror br A scar that covered my entire body. br Like a crack at the seam, br Of God’s design. br I see the same symbol over you. br br Each part of the morning, I grew with a rash. br Dark and grey, like an angry cloud. br My body felt heavier. Sorrow became intense. br I started to believe you wanted revenge from me. br My leg’s froze, that one spot I fell. br As I slowly turn to stone. br br I watch you… br As this sculpture cracks. br The exterior of inferior self. br Your keen want of demand. br As you become real, I freeze…. br br I’m covered in clay, br I can no longer speak… br My eyes are the only thing that’s real. br I saw you come life... br I gave you this life… br You stared at me, br But I had already died….. br A sacrifice well deserved. br A concrete tear falls once again.
