Screaming in the air,
tortured moans ringing in my ear.
Crying tears of blood,
I look at the red pool you're swimming in.

Faces caressed by a loving fire
and scorched by a running river,
never to stand still
until its shame is left behind.

Waking as the moon rises,
reflecting in the eyes of a wolf
starved of salvation.

Gentle winds
brush my lips
as if your passing soul
wants to say goodbye.

I hear the smile in his voice
and in a vain attempt,
strike him.

Cursing under his breath,
he pulls a dagger.
I smile as it dances at my throat,
wishful for a partner.

As the dagger is reunited with its lover,
I lay asleep upon your chest,
never to leave your side again.
