Stewart Gideon - The Scene On The Streets

Stewart Gideon - The Scene On The Streets

Whenever I walk down the streets br I see a scene that I will never like br People lined up like cars in a fleet br Male, female, young and old alike br br I see young and innocent children br Roaming the streets to beg for bread br Having no one to take care of them br And no shelter to lay their heads br br I see very promising young boys and girls br Who have been made ugly by the firm grip of poverty br Whose mindsets have been made to derail br As they react to life with all manner of animosity br br I see adults – even those with grey hairs br Still expunging the little remnants of energy br Filled with regrets of mistake made in the yesteryears br While still languishing in the prison of grief and agony br br These are potentials not yet harnessed br Fertile soils lying waste br Ideas that are yet to be discovered br Gifts that are been engraved br br They’ve got things that the world is thirsty for br They would’ve made the world better than it is br But are handicapped by their condition br Cos their world is worse than it should be br br So when next you walk across the street br Don’t try to look down on them br But see if you can help make them fit br And free them from their entanglementbr br Stewart Gideonbr br
