Denis Martindale - Adam And Eve And Jesus

Denis Martindale - Adam And Eve And Jesus

I wonder how beautiful Eve was. Was she so beautiful br That Adam was swayed by her beauty? br Or was it like an echo of doubt within his own heart? br Or did he believe that Eve was sent by God br As if to say, 'Don't worry about what I said before... br It's OK, go ahead, eat the fruit. It's just fruit. br It can make you wise, but don't worry... br You won't really die...' br br Was Eve already pregnant before she ate the fruit? br Was this fruit like a pregnant woman's craving br For something illogical? br Or was it that she was jealous of Adam br Naming the animals and even her as well? br br For whatever reason she ate the fruit, br Remember, she was still alive. She didn't fall down dead. br She was still within that same day. br So Adam should have had a brain in his head that said, br 'I'll wait till tomorrow! If she's still alive then, br I can consider God as telling us a lie...' br br In that same day, br Sin in its wretched contamination perverted Mankind. br Here, in Genesis, br We learn that God would send a Saviour. br Throughout the Old Testament, br We learnt more and more of God's plan. br br The passion of the Christ shows us br The courage it takes to be a Saviour. br But how many would pray br And intercede for torturers and sadists? br br Throughout the centuries since, we have a Saviour. br He is the King of Love and the Prince of Peace, br The Good Shepherd and the Lamb of God, br The Friend of Sinners yet the Justified Judge. br br His name is Jesus and He is truly unique, special, holy. br No wonder billions honour Him every day, br For they, too, have known of Genesis br And seen the revelation...
